Strom's Coming

Another rainy sky, quite a storm and beautiful. We ended up painting under the shelter of a friends porch. We finally have sun now and lots of green. So I will be adding some summer paintings soon.

Willows on a Wet Spring Day

Our Wednesday painting group braved the cold wet day (May 11th) and painted under the protection of a friends porch roof. The clouds floated into the distant mountain and the red and yellow willows filled the foreground with color! Still a few small patches of snow yet to melt. Matted 17 1/2" x 14 1/4" - $180

Spring Green

Last Monday, May 9th, Ceci and I were looking for a place to paint and ended up in her backyard - what more could one ask for ... flowing water, flowers, green grass and nice shadows. Matted 17 1/2" x 14 1/4" $170

Desert Flowers & Shadows

One of our last days hiking in the Utah Canyon Lands area I found these beautiful red/orange flowers growing out of the cracks in the rocks. During our 10 days in Utah we saw quite a variety of blooming flowers - such color in the desert! Matted 17 1/2" x 14 1/4" - $185

Sandstone Formations

Two weeks ago my husband and I took a camping trip to Canyon Lands in Utah to get out of the snow and I wanted to paint something besides white. I painted this from our campsite in Kodachrome Basin. Matted 17 1/2" X 14 1/4" - $175.

January Frozen Winter Willows

My friend Ceci and I went out on a sunny cold day in January and much to my surprise the entire painting froze. When I brought it inside I kept it flat and touched it up a bit when it was dry. Created a whole new look - maybe winter frozen painting is a new technique for me:)  Matted 20"x 16" - $140

6 am

This is a view I wake up to most winter mornings, when there are a few clouds in the sky and the sun is just coming up. Not a bad view to wake up to, I feel so lucky.  Matted - 20" x 16" - $200

February Willows

It was colder than it looks, as when I was painting this the top half of the watercolor froze, if you look closely you can see the crystals. Matted - 20" x 16" - $175.

Footprints & Willows

March painting of footprints on a frozen lake near our house - the willows add such great color. Matted 20"x16" - $125

Fall Colors Hanging Out

This is a fall painting of our clothes line. The day was full of color and created great shadows.
Framed 27" x 23" - $250

"Stellar Jay"

The Stellar Jays are always the first in the morning to the bird food, beautiful colors and fun to watch. They are only here in the winter. Matted  20" x 16" - $125

"Fluffed Up Junko at Ten Below"

I painted this on a very cold day in February, this little Junko was sitting on our porch railing for quite a while - staying warm. SOLD

Winter Colors- Red Groosebeak

We have many winter birds around our house and this is the most colorful. I did a series of bird painting viewing them from our living room window. They add such color to the winter whites. SOLD

Fetcher's Barn

Last summer our daughter Allison and her fiance Aaron got married September 5th, near this barn. They asked me to do a painting of the barn in early May thinking they might want to use it on their wedding invitation. I went up with my painting friend Ceci thinking spring (I had lots of fresh green watercolors at the ready) and we arrived to full on winter. It was 34 degree and snowing - we did a quick painting and left in a blizzard, it was too wintery to use for the invitation - but gave a good story. Matted  20" x 16" - $125.
